ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Expressive drawing of a horse running on the reverse side of unstretched canvas using a mix of charcoal, gesso and woodstain.. One of my passions is drawing/painting horses, particularly showing movement. Please note that there isn't enough space around this drawing to stretch it onto wooden support, so would suggest it's framed behind glass.

Taking a lot of inspiration from old masters, particularly from the Rococo/Baroque era, I'm especially drawn to the composition, colors & fabrics and like to put my contemporary twist on it. Painting in a very expressive way, abstract elements are explored in these figurative subjects and the spaces in between. Using a variety of media such as acrylic, charcoal, plaster & pastel I'm constantly experimenting with textures & layers to convey flow & movement. Throughout my artistic career I've exhibited widely across the United States, UK & Europe in both group and solo shows, as well as having work regularly published.
