About The Artwork

On the shores of Lake Como, there is a jewel called Nesso, with countless treasures hidden at plain sight. One of them is the Ponte della Civera, a medieval construction that joins the two parts of the town separated by its famous Orrido. From this bridge, Leonardo da Vinci wrote in his Atlantic Code "Nesso, a land where a river falls with a great rush, through an enormous crack in the mountain" In the year 1999, a talented artist captured its essence in a magical painting. That painting became a lighthouse, a compass that led us, 20 years later, to that town, to that bridge, to that perfect afternoon. And there, the daughter of that artist sat down with a coffee and a good book, to get lost in that corner of the world and in the brushstrokes of that artwork. With this illustration, I wanted to reproduce the mystique of that unique moment, on the Ponte della Civera, a passage between the two ends of a city, which became a bridge to connect much more.

I was born in Buenos Aires in 1979. Since I can remember, Art has been present in my life in various forms, from painting and sculpture, through music and performing arts. In 1987, at the age of 8, I participated in my first exhibition, obtaining a distinction for my first oil painting “The look of the tiger”. Since then I have experimented with various tools and resources, both digital and traditional, study at the Buenos Aires University and perfecting myself in the studio of master Silvio Toledo. My works have been exhibited in numerous national art magazines, with local distribution. I have participated and been awarded in multiple contests and calls, both national and international. The last steps of the path that I have traveled so far have been fundamentally oriented towards realism, including series of portraits and naturalistic illustrations.
