ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Coming into the Harvest season in Ireland, Lunasa, the month of August, I was inspired to draw this bull. Lunasa and its connection to mother earth and the moon and the word Lunasa and Lunatic and the energy of the moon, full tides, water, growth and fertility. The bull symbolises fertility. The power and strenght of the bull and also the raging bull ,the frail line associated with mental illness ."Crossing the line". How people with mental illness are often excluded from society and the need for understanding,compassion, integration and breaking down barriers.
