ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Graphite on paper. Still corn drawn over several months at the same clock time. The selection of my paper for shading techniques is influenced by the type of pencil used, the degree of darkness desired, the shading technique used, and the expression of the shading technique desired. I like to have a certain type of paper that's the reason why I chose textured paper. Surfaces anale me to do the kind of shades I want. The texture of the paper makes shading easier and produces a greater range of tone that can be more evenly applied. It is obvious that random surfaces produce subtle, rich shades that are expressive with great luminosity and sensitivity and this is exactly what I am aiming for.
