'Maastricht Residential Design Shines' Drawing

In the many years I lived in Europe, specifically The Netherlands, one of the most beautiful, quaint cities is Maastricht. In one of my visits to this city, located in the Limburg region, I observed one particular residence building with a most intriguing architecture that I had to immediately whip out my drawing pad, and focus on its' architectural personality creating several drawings of its’ form, shape and originality. The 17th century Baroque architecture along the canals in Amsterdam is a composite of amazing, unique constructions in terms of use of natural building materials, i.e. stone, & wood, and the incredible use of design, spatial ingenuity and the relationship between form and function. But in the tradition of the Dutch exceptional use of materials, originality and diversity of style, the residence building in Maastricht, an example of a 20th century construction, is elegant in a curvilinear form, style, design and use of glass for integrating interior and exterior spaces, For this reason, it caught my eye and motivated me to make several drawings capturing the unique personality of its modern construction.
