ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Drawing was done in Rome in November of 2016 while working on an assignment illustrating migrants and their stories. I was there to draw people's portraits but these shoes outside the door of a dorm in a temporary migrant shelter caught my eye as telling a story all on their own.
