Nobilis Drawing

I came across a (copyright-free) photo of a beautiful woman with a look I liked so much, I wanted to capture it in charcoal. I played with adding another creative dimension to the portrait; experimenting with various physical objects to get impressions out of the charcoal. I finally chose the seashell for its interesting textures, and its subtle message of timelessness. This drawing is 14" wide by 17" tall. I used Strathmore 400 Series paper, which is cream-colored, 300 GSM, and acid-free. This artwork has been sprayed with a clear fixative to help prevent the charcoal from smearing. It will ship flat, protected by a layer of glassine paper, sandwiched between two sheets of foam core board, sealed in a plastic bag for protection against water damage, then placed in a cardboard box. This drawing does not ship with any frame or hanging hardware.
