Zen Chicken on the Run was inspired by Black 3.0 acrylic paint. I wanted to see how fast strokes with a loaded brush would trail across the watercolor board. When the running rooster came into focus, I stamped multiple eyes to add a counter rhythm to the dynamics of movement in the composition. If you are feeling rushed then Zen Chicken on the Run will help you get where you're going.

Honoria Starbuck (Miami, Florida) grew up on Key Biscayne. She studied art and art history at the University of Texas and holds an interdisciplinary PhD in Fine Arts, Communications, and Education. Honoria is influenced by art history stretching back to cave art. Her moving meditation art relates to her 14-year practice of tai chi.
