Vincenzo Mastrangelo (nato nel 1957 a Maratea) pittore musicista e fotografo. Fa della fotografia la sua professione. All'inizio degli anni 70 si dedica con passione agli studi etnici e culturali del suo territorio,il Cilento. Da questa passione scaturisce un libro fotografico, che illustra con suggestive immagini momenti di vita delle popolazioni che vi abitano. Alla fine degli anni 70 conosce il fotografo Antonio Janotti con il quale instaura una solida amicizia e un sodalizio professionale che li porterà a documentare ulteriormente le condizioni socio economiche del Cilento, territorio situato in provincia di Salerno, nella Regione Campania, nel sud d'Italia, con immagini che vengono riportate nella seconda edizione del libro fotografico ancora non pubblicato.
