Propofol Drawing

This original piece of art is from my most recent collection of drawings named Anaesthesia. In each image I have attempted to capture the precise moment the subject wakes from the dark fold of medical anaesthetic. The subject is eternally suspended in the borderland between unconscious and conscious. Through pattern I attempt to translate empirical senses into something tangible, a connection point between subject and viewer. This image is not drawn from life. I work from my studio where I can choose from discarded magazines to find an ideal structure to translate and experiment with pattern and mark making to create the final image. Materials: White paper, Black pencil The image reaches edge to edge, there is no border on the original artwork. All original pieces differ slightly in size, please check measurements before purchasing. For original artwork there will be a sticker applied to the back to certify originality as well as a certificate of authenticity. Prints are limited edition to 50.
