These intelligent and impressive birds are among my favorites. No realistic representation of plumage, only the feather structure is recognizable. A pure brush drawing.The background is created rather spontaneously; I let the undiluted ink paint run back and forth in the puddle of water. I was inspired by the highly topical issue of climate change with devastating forest fires and human-caused animal suffering.
