This is a mixed media drawing based on the concept of death of one way and simultaneous rebirth of something new. Not necessarily a literal theory, it could be the death of an idea or way of life, etc. The skull is crying tears of joy to have found this new rebirth, while the passion flowers represent the strive for life and yearning for a deeper sense of feeling. The butterflies are representational of the metamorphosis between the two states. This artwork was created using a mixture of technical pens, markers, and acrylic inks on 140lb watercolour paper.
