This story is people about. Everybody about and each of them. That is that about, everyone of 11 billions people live in their own world. Decoration is the same, as from beautiful houses to gravestones, but everyone has his own world .

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The project "Seven Billions People Live in Seven Billions Worlds" was created by Julia Rockina and Vera Golubeva during their travels around Portugal, specifically on the streets of Porto. This project consists of numerous small drawings, each of which connects to the overall theme: every one of the seven billion people in the world lives in their own unique reality. From beautiful houses to gravestones, the setting may be the same, but every individual inhabits their own world. We developed this project while in an artist residency in Lisbon, Portugal. Before our journey, we prepared the paper in our studio, toning it with natural dyes like tea and coffee, and incorporating elements such as old newspapers to give the paper a textured, lived-in feel. Afterward, we traveled to Portugal, spending one intensive week in Porto. Every day, we went out into the city, sketching scenes from everyday life in diverse locations: cafés, markets, tourist squares, the cargo port, and public transportation. Through these scenes, we aimed to capture the many different "worlds" people inhabit, even when they share the same physical space. We used ink as our primary medium, along with colored graphic materials, to depict the vibrancy of these different worlds. After our week in Porto, we continued working on the project for another two weeks in Lisbon, where we completed it. Finally, we showcased the finished work in a solo exhibition at the Oficina Divagar residency in Almada.

I was born in 1989 in Leningrad, USSR. After receiving BA and MA degrees from the Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design I co-founded the "GRG Design Studio" with Vera Golubeva, where we focus on innovative collection design. In my projects, I combine classical glass processing techniques with modern sculpture and graphic art. I am drawn to timeless minimalist design, which is evident in my creative work, including jewelry and functional objects. I follow my intuition and aesthetic preferences, influenced by my classical education. My favorite technique is multi-layered glass milling, which allows me to achieve depth of color and a balance between form and content. My work explores the relationship between humanity and nature, the urban environment, and modern society. I am particularly interested in how people connect with their inner selves and their true nature. My life is currently split between Tbilisi, Bali, and Saint Petersburg. These cities have become key places on my personal map with Saint Petersburg still being there as it's my homeland and where my parents live
