My usual medium was ink drawings, but my art class liked to do watercolours so I expanded my repertoire into colour with a little painting here and there. I found that hard pastel suited my technique best since it was a dry medium that allowed me to gauge the intensity of the colour as it is applied, and it allowed me to create smooth gradients which were good for drawing faces.
