The centaur Eurytion was obsessed with Deianira and liked to watch her sleep. He demanded her hand in marriage from her father even though he knew she was engaged to be married to Hercules. Her father, frightened by the Centaur agreed. Fortunately for her, Hercules returned the day that Eurytion and Deianira were to wed, but before the wedding could proceed, Heracles strangled Eurytion so that Deianira could marry him instead. This drawing is done on high-quality acid-free Arches 140lb watercolour paper. The work is signed on the front and back by the artist. It comes accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
