"Solitaria" Drawing

Giorgia Beltrami was born in Reggio Emili in 1969. She lives and works in Rubiera (RE). After being graduated in the Art Insitute in Modena, she works as a freelance, graphic designer in various industrial fields. She made her debut in art word with her first personal exibition by Marinella Paderni in collaboration whit Galleria Annovi in 2003 whit a series of works over identity, a reflection over membership closely linked to the country of the author. She continued her research with other cycles work preferably related to identity and her love for the area. Over the years, she exhibited her works in prestigious spaces dedicated to the art world such as La permanente in Milan, the arsenal of Venice and collaborates with galleries throughout the country whit personal and group exhibitions, participatingwhit them at art fairs such ad Art Verona. She takes part in the 54° Venice Biennale in 2011 in an exibition organized by Vittorio Sgarbi at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Turin. In 2008 she won the special award of the Artemisia Prize exposed in Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona and she was a finalist for several awards recognized ad the Arte Laguna Prize, the Combat Prize and the Art Prize. Some art critics have written about her work, between which we con mention: Chiara Canali, Beatrice Buscaroli, Francesca Baboni and Stefano Taddei.
