Hilario Bravo (Cáceres, Spain 1955) began his artistic activity in 1972 with his first exhibition, conceptual in content, since when he has held numerous one-man shows and obtained important acknowledgements of his development in multiple artistic fields. In his oeuvre we discover evocations of religious rites, be they from the primitive world, Classical or mediaeval times, all of which are lured by the value of symbols such as crosses, chalices, fish or diagrammatic trees that conjure up themes of death, magic or love.
