Sphere No. 003 Drawing

Sphere No. 003 belongs the collection of small works on paper, referred to as the Sphere works, produced and shown as part of the Drawing Space exhibition shown in 2024. By presenting images stripped to a minimal in their representations of subject, the works of this collection explore possibilities of engaging the viewer in a pure emotive experience through texture, colour, and implied space. The work was created using Inktense pencils on 200gsm Accademia paper. It is framed in Bellini moulding with an antiquated scooped style that is 54mm in width and 50mm in height. The framing has been constructed by the artist and includes double dowel joints at each corner in addition to the usual v-nailing. It has been stained a dark colour by the artist to make it specific to the collection. Please note: The listed size does not include the frame in the measurements. For full measurements of the work framed add 4.25 inches (108mm) to the width and height. Metric size of the drawing is 182mmx220mm.
