About The Artwork

This is a still life of a fruit on a dark background done with expressive, bold, fast marks resulting in a somewhat ambiguous description of the object and its surroundings where the play between lights and darks, the rich textures and contrasting colors gives it a rather somber and disquieting atmosphere not usually associated with the genre
