Los Angeles has long been home to the largest community of Iranians outside of Iran. I drew this map around 2010 of an area in the Westside that is home to a particularly vibrant collection of Persian businesses. Sometime later, it showed up on Google Maps. Then, it appeared -- in a map of the same color and with the same borders as mine -- in the Jonathan Gold documentary, City of Gold.
