The Bridge over the Barle Drawing

This is a traditional Landscape piece centered and the the old Stone Bridge in the centre of Dulverton. Dulverton stands on the edge of Exmoor National Park in the UK and the River Barle runs through the town prior to joining the River Exe as it makes its way south. Dulverton is an unspoilt small town and as a resident I love the scenery and the beautiful old fashioned architecture. This is a view i know well as I take a walk past this view most days and it captures the essence of the Town. The Picture was created using soft Graphite onto 220 gsm Acid free Paper and is the style which i usually choose to work in. I love to really capture the intricate details of the chosen Subject matter while keeping the overall feel of the piece one of nostalgia with the look of an old Drawing or Etching. This echoes the subject matter.
