ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a drawing done in one sitting during a long pose by a model at the Kline Academy of Fine Art in Los Angeles, CA. I used watercolor pencils and then added a little acrylic paint at the end to make the whites pop. I set out to make this pretty realistic but as the pose went on I started to feed off an almost Orientalist vibe I was getting and eased off of details to try and evoke a mood in the picture.
