VALERIA LG BARRETT - aka Valeria Leczycki Goncharova Barrett, is a Belarusian-American visual artist, fashion stylist, costume designer, book author and a conscious lifestyle advocate. Valeria set on the board of directors as a program chair for the Fashion Group International of New York (LA chapter); is an honorary member of the Academy of Couture Art (currently known as Beverly Hills Design Institute); is the Founding Charter Member and a Patron at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles and the Alumni Member of the extension program at the Harvard University. Valeria is an academically trained artist who embarked into her professional journey in the Republic of Belarus over three decades ago. When she moved to the United States from her native Belarus in early 90’s, her groundbreaking fusion of the conscious lifestyle, futuristic designs and metaphysical artworks were an uncharted territories for the young “movers-and-shakers” of the San Francisco and New York art scenes. She was critically-acclaimed by the New York and Los Angeles fashion critics as one of the new up-and-coming designers to watch for and was called “a young visionary who is ahead of her time.” After more than twenty five years of experience in the fashion, arts and entertainment industries in the Unites States and Europe, Valeria gained a status of the international trend-setter. Michael Jackson, Prince Lorenzo de' Medici, Whitney Houston, Joe Franklin, Gary Null, The Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Broadway Productions, New York Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, Paramount Pictures, and The Walt Disney Company are just a few among some of her most notable past clients, collaborators and work experiences. In the last few decades, she launched several successful ventures including Santa Barbara International, ROVA Company, Valeria Rovalution Company, and Fashion Consciousness Magazine. Valeria holds Visual Arts credentials from Harvard University; Fashion Design and Business from New York Parsons School of Design; Publishing and Graphic Design from the City University of New York, and Fine and Decorative Arts and Culture Management credentials from Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. Currently, Valeria is the owner of VALERIA LG BARRETT ARTS company that offers her signature visual arts products.
