ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The title is inspired by observations, different readings and experiences. This is a work that gradually takes shape and form, starting out from the outdoor spaces to indoor dwelling, of figures awaiting something, lost in thought, meditating, submerged in their own setting, their own solitude. The choice of the drawing medium calls for a malleable substance, that is the dry pastel, a very delicate material to work with, of lines and edges of colors that meet, in an act of shaping and reshaping, modeling, erasing and smudging, while all tend to add a desirable effect to the subjects at work.
