About The Artwork
I took a photo of my granddaughter as she was slurping the last drops of her drink. Her wistful expression captured my imagination, and I felt compelled to make a drawing. Working on gray pastelbord with black and white pencils allowed me to get a soft effect that I hope matches her contemplative look. I gave hazel touches to her eyes and pink to her lips to add some delight.
