This acrylic drawing in black and grey on white paper, representing a mask sculpted by Twagirumukiza titled *Umurage W'Imigisha*, which means "The Legacy of Blessings" in Kinyarwanda. This mask embodies a mystical presence, connecting the world of the living with that of the spirits. The geometric patterns that cover it are not mere decorations but deep symbols representing the flows of ancestral energy and wisdom. The wavy lines suggest the spiritual vibrations that pass through the mask, transmitting messages between the material and spiritual realms. The use of black and grey enhances this spiritual dimension by emphasizing the mystery and depth of the piece, while the contrast with the white background evokes an essential duality between light and darkness, life and death, presence and absence. The rounded shapes at the top of the mask represent pearls, precious objects in traditional Rwandan culture, woven into the strands of hair. These pearls symbolize spiritual elevation and the connection to divine or natural forces. They are not mere ornaments but carriers of spiritual energy, embodying the richness of the soul and the value of ancestral traditions. They remind us that this mask is both a guardian and a guide, bearing the wisdom and protection of the ancestors, while opening a path to a deeper understanding of the mysteries of life and existence. Thus, this mask transcends its function as an artistic object to become a powerful symbol of protection, guidance, and connection with the sacred.

🇬🇧 Passionate about sculpture and painting, I developed my own technique in a self-taught way. I started to exhibit my works to the public during my law studies at the Panthéon Sorbonne University, where I discovered the pleasure of sharing my artistic vision. In 2004, after obtaining my law degree, I deepened my knowledge of sculpture at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London. Back in France, I continued to train at the Ateliers des Beaux Arts de the city of Paris in 2015, while continuing my artistic creation. I sculpt with different mediums: wood, clay, stone, paper. I let the final shape of the work reveal itself through the sculpting process. I compose my works with several objects, sometimes sculpted at different times. I assemble them harmoniously to express an idea, a feeling, a movement or a sound.
