"The girl in the chair" is small, she will be ten years old. Her bare feet rest on the chair and her dress is long, short-sleeved. Her arms surround her legs, which are folded and brought close to her body. The figure of the little girl appears next to us. Her face turns slightly and we see it in full. The expression is indecipherable. Her gaze is attentive and fixed. There are no bad or beautiful thoughts, there is no anguish and no happiness. The girl watches. And we get lost looking at her, understanding what she means. And a sense of tranquility begins to pervade us. Because unfounded, the real meaning hidden in her is this: "Do not seek great things". In your little one you are indispensable and master of your life. The goal is never a place, but rather a new way of seeing things.

I work on the basis of photographs, without copying them. I paint in acrylic, applying the color with small and fast strokes. They are expressive paintings. The small and fast strokes define the model in a precise way almost like realism or photorealism, even if nothing has to do with them. My painting does not attempt to create the illusion of a realistic copy, even if everything is defined unequivocally. We are constantly bombarded with images that want to seduce. Advertisements, posters or multimedia images are designed to be grabbed quickly. The message must be decoded in an instant and therefore remember. My paintings develop in a life of their own and "force" the viewer to dwell on the image and take their time to get to know it. Instead of a "quick consumption", you have to take a break from the surrounding chaos and dedicate yourself to watching. Furthermore, faces are never beautiful or standardized, but belong to individuals; I try to go further and get to the core of the human being in its essence. The background seems to wrap the images like a blanket, almost to shelter them from the world around them. People are not puppets, but multifaceted personalities, full of contradictions and feelings. The look at the paintings is like a mirror that reflects on ourselves.
