The Looking Glass (Marissa) Drawing

Susanna Lynn Johnson was born in Escondido, California and raised in a multitude of landscapes in the United States. She remembers the Pacific Northwest, the Golden State, New England, and Music City with particular fondness. In the midst of her childhood travels, Susanna studied music intensively, and developed a secret mania for web design, which matured into a healthy livelihood as a fine artist and musician. She found herself at an art university after a long struggle between music and art, and continues to enjoy the equal presence of both in her life. At this time, Susanna is interested in merging her past love for computer art and her present love for fine art into a body of work in painting and drawing. Her current series addresses the bilateral state of her generation in the digital age through distorted, large-format portraiture. She plans to continue expanding upon this subject through her senior body of work, before receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
