ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This large format drawing started as a sketch for a large painting with the same title. The painting was inspired by "Angels Over Berlin", a movie I've watched many times. While looking at old footage from the movie, I thought: "What if one layered a composition depicting the aftermath of war on top of an epic battlefield?" And "What if an epic battle was about relationships and love". I started sketching an idea, in the style of Baroque paintings, for "Red Painting" and after I finished painting it, I also finished this drawing.
