About The Artwork
For the last 6 years I have been photographing in shearing sheds across the state of Victoria in Australia. It has bought back memories of when I was working in a shearing shed crutching and as a rouse-about. This is part one of 2 shearing hand pieces. With a technique I have developed using architectural fineliners and a background in photography this is a hyper-realism drawing of the original Hand Shears used for shearing in Australia and other wool producing countries.
