THE TWO OF US UNDER THE SUN, original drawing | framed | ready to hang on the wall Dimensions: 35,3 (width) x 43,7 (height) x 3,5 cm (depth) / 13.9 x 17.2 x 1.3 in. Frame: high quality matte-black "wooden" frame with light sand passe-partout and non-reflective glass. Materials: ink, coffee & natural binder. Paper: FABRIANO Torchon extra rough (270 gsm). Artwork is signed (also on the back of the frame). About | "The Two of Us Under the Sun” is an artwork that belongs to the series ‘The Two of Us’. Although I've been constantly experimenting with many styles, scenes and other elements, the drawing still holds the essence of the original idea. The idea is not just to express emotions, but rather to dive as deep as I can into my own imagination and to search what I truly wish for. "If I can't find it outside, can I find it: inside?" Coffee as a drawing or a painting material definitely isn't like any other. I like to say I see coffee more like a noble 'alchemical ingredient' that as an artist you have to explore it completely, before you can really 'feel' it and understand its true magnificence. * * * A dream and reality, two different sides of view. Sometimes you believe, but she does not. Because one ... is never two.

Andrej Mratinković was born in 1984 in a town Celje in Slovenia. He graduated at the Department of Fine Arts at University of Maribor in 2011. When he decided to study fine art, he quickly came to realize that his work will also be to deeply analyze all the components that will give him an artwork that he truly strive for; and for that he would need a lot of exploration, experimentation and experience. A turning point in his artistic development was the discovery of artworks by sculptor Mirsad Begić, who inspired him with his incredible work, personal mythology and introduced him to natural materials, especially "coffee". Mratinković's main fields of creativity are drawing, painting, small sculptures, digital art and graphic design. His art work is often linked with concepts like: imagination, primacy, archaism, mysteriousness, mysticism and poetics. /// Contact:
