About The Artwork

Inspired by the artists Jack Kirby and John Buscema. I hope its viewers will feel empathy for the horse. The strength, nobility, humility and patience of the horse. An animal that once was so useful to man. In the developed world, the animal now seems to have been replaced by machinery and technology. Will we ever need horses again? The medium (watercolour on Bristol Board) was a first attempt at illustration. The horse was sketched by hand, scanned then printed on A4 Bristol Board. The watercolour sky and shading was then added to the Bristol Board. There may be additional variations of this print ( with different shading / colouring ), however it will be a limited edition.
