About The Artwork
Drawin in dedication to the friendship between the goat Timur and the tiger Amur, this piece celebrates friendships that surpass language, class and expectation. Timur was meant to be fed to Amur, and instead they formed a strong bond and lived together for many months. A combination of stippling techniques and intricate strokes inspired by the grandeur of this story make this one of my most treasured works.

Yuli was diagnosed with Asperger’s disease when he was 18 years old. As he had problems socializing with others, he was often side-lined and misunderstood by his peers. Instead of submitting to his condition, Yuli made the best of what he had and dicovered the beauty of life and his surroundings. He finds animals and landscapes particularly beautiful, and so they are his most frequented sources of inspiration. Yuli earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Curtin University, Western Australia and has since been making art full-time.
