I start my works instinctively, without a precise idea. Then, when I see a shape in it, a figure, an expression I follow and develop it. Or, I remain in an abstract language. Sometimes I sketch first an idea. Sometimes, while drawing, I orient the paper in different ways several times: that's why yo...

/// WHO /// I am born and I live in Pisa, Italy. I started with oil about thirty years ago. After my studies at the Art Academy I participated with the "Italian Art Team", directed by my Art Academy Master Bruno Pollacci, to many exhibitions in Italy, France, in Berlin and New York. Then, Bruno Pollacci introduced me to computer art and digital graphic design, which became my actual job (see my Linkedin profile). /// WHY /// After many years of work in digital art and graphic design, I  "came back to matter": paper, china ink, chinese and watercolor brushes. I wanted again a medium where no "undo", no "Ctrl+Z" could save you from a mistake or something you didn't plan. I wanted to learn again how to surf the "imprevisto". My town is a symbol of that... the Leaning Tower is an "imprevisto", a mistake... but how a beautiful! /// HOW /// I start my works instinctively, without a precise idea. Then, when I see a shape in it, a figure, an expression I follow and develop it. Or, I remain in an abstract language. Sometimes I sketch first an idea (best occasions are business meetings or boring lectures). Sometimes, while drawing, I orient the paper in different ways several times: that's why you can orient some of my works as you like. I got a Laurea in Philosophy (110/110 cum laude), studying at the University of Pisa and for one year at the Sorbona of Paris (tutor Etienne Balibar). I learned photography in the USA, at Santa Fe Photography Workshops (teacher Alex Webb, Bob Sacha, Nigel Dickinson, Reid Callanan). /// HOW MUCH /// I am a professional graphic designer, but here, in Saatchiart, I am new, a beginner, so I decided to start again... "from zero". /// NO TIE /// I like Saatchiart also because sometimes I find  "sparkling" vernissages very boring.
