JE Sunnie Discipio is a self-taught artist, born and raised in the Caribbean. After a series of life-changing experiences, she relocated to the United States in the late 1970s, where she later became a U.S. citizen. Her life journey has been enriched by extensive international travel, and she now resides in Sedona, Arizona. Her work is created from a place of deep reflection, love, and intention. Each piece emerges as an expression of inner stillness, emotional depth, and positive energy. Through her creative process, painting becomes both meditation and a form of healing, an intuitive practice where every detail is infused with presence and care. Rooted in a lifelong dedication to holistic health and well-being, Sunnie brings a unique sensitivity to her art. She previously owned and operated a day spa in the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid-1990s, and her background includes certifications as a Psycho-Aromatherapist, Reiki and Seichim Master, Yoga Teacher, and Master Herbalist. Her work in healing modalities, ranging from lymphatic drainage and hydrotherapy to sound healing and bodywork, deeply informs the energy and intention behind her paintings. Sunnie believes that art has the power to transform not only spaces, but the way we feel within them. Her work is designed to bring warmth, peace, and a sense of soulful presence into the environments it inhabits. Each brushstroke carries the intention to inspire calm, encourage reflection, and gently reconnect the viewer to their inner world.
