ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I made this piece during a period in which I was developing my awareness of my self, my capacity for meditation, and a desire to understand my existence and the meaning and possibilities of my life beyond what I had previously conceived. This small graphite drawing on paper was itself an exercise in calm focus and presence. My mind relaxes when I am drawing making space for deeper knowings and emotional sensitivity.
