Her long hair inspired me. Her hair allowed me to practice my wiggly line movement with my hand. I love a challenge. I thought of coloring her dark hair. Rather, I left the hair unfinished. It gave it a dramatic look. An unfinished look is quite beautiful. Sometimes things can be unfinished. Should I feel bad? No. Of course not. I felt a sense of freedom. This is a drawing that I have not showed to anyone. I drew it with a Conte piece of charcoal on an exotic piece of paper. I don't play with weak charcoal. Thats for Americans. I also have a fetish with charcoal. Your hands have to be really loose, agile, and you have to be able to feel the tip of the charcoal when you are drawing. These charcoals have to be sharpened often. Every 10 minutes I estimate. Razor Sharp. This is how you get the line work down. I always use Abraham Lincolns saying "If I had 5 hours to chop down a tree, I would spend 4 hours sharpening the sword." Enjoy.
