This is the original drawing that started a series of explorations into the roots of my own identity as a woman. The essay by Rainer Maria Rilke called "The Feminine Human Being" spoke to something in me that was undeveloped and in need of attention. Essentially I have learned to value the two primary ways in which life and existence can best be understood, logic and emotion, and the reason for the opposite approaches of masculine and feminine sensibilities. Ultimately they are complimentary and expansive understandings of the human experience. When in conflict they are destructive and regressive. When harmonious they are personal expressions of the two greatest forces at play in the universe, Love and Truth.

b 1977 I am deeply interested in human nature and understanding the principles that move our behaviors, desires, intentions and awareness. I love real beauty and genuine kindness, which I believe to be correlated and difficult to see clearly. It takes real depth. I live in Venice Beach, California near the ocean.
