Yasuke - Charcoal on Canvas - Abstract Art This charcoal free hand ended up feeling quite powerful. After finishing I had strong Samurai vibes therefore I chose Yasuke. Yasuke's history: Oda Nobunaga made this Samurai his personal retainer after being impressed by his size and strength.

Hi world. My name is Adam Jones and I consider myself to be a Charcoal and Acrylic abstract artist.

Born and raised in southern North Carolina most of my entertainment was up to me. I never fit in really all that well with a lot of my peers. Instead I found myself in my own head making my own fun. It felt easier that way.

At the age of 18 I packed up, hopped on a plane for the very first time and moved to Brooklyn with some friends. There I began to truly see how big, bright and beautiful the world really was. There were so many influences flung around me from all over the world non stop. As an outsider in a big new city I found myself overwhelmed with excitement and passion.

Eventually life got in the way of all of that excitement and my creative side turned practical. A few years later at the ripe age of 30 I am finally able to have fun with art all over again. I am eager to share my own work with the world and hope that you enjoy it just as much as I did making it!
