ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Over the years we have found different formats and versions of the popular "golden calf", whose origin dates back to the Biblical book Exodus. In that story a calf is revered by Israelites who had fled Egypt. It was a cult object built by them, a false idol praised by the people, at the foot of Mount Sinai and in the absence of Moses. Today 34 centuries later we continue to worship inert matter under that idol form. They are objects that we ourselves constitute by generating a symbolic objectification. The Golden Calf is currently re-signified in all those electronic devices that transmit light and moving images, that nullify our introspection and idiotize society, away from the stimulus of reason and the spiritual essence of man. In this exhibition we see a clear example through television, a calf that we all consume in our daily lives and that we generate worship around him for everything that he transmits to us. But really who looks at whom? In this act there are two parties involved, the person and the plastic object. We see work that leads us to think about that television static but we also see another one that reflects detail, the vibration of light and the colors that they impose and hypnotize us. Finally, the object itself, open ... invites us to reflect on what is inside us. What is in our own box? Shine to the rest and an interlinear truth? Overinformation empty of content? What this Calf is looking for is reconnection with the true self and our true sense and universal connection, hidden behind our screens.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

As an architect, I work on the development of spatialities, in the atmospheres of absence, in discouraged presences. They are images that induce feeling and staying on the border between the recognizable and the strange, between definition and indefiniteness; dystopias, where space-time and chiaroscuro mix, to make us reflect on our existence, using oil, installation, photography, animation and digital art. Architecture gave me the ability to project an idea that is already finished even before starting it. My process then consists of breaking that image by means of multiple analog and digital techniques simultaneously. Everything ends in spaces, landscapes of opposing sensations, where architecture and visual arts converse. This leads me to analyze what is happening around me and its causes. My work finds its origin there, in analysis and criticism. I expose our circumstances in relation to social, scientific, metaphysical and spiritual questions.
