I create vibrant contemporary art depicting European architecture. I am also a historian; it's extensive research into the history of buildings that inspires the direction of each artwork. Each story inspires both the concept and medium I decide to use to deliver portraits of some of the most incredible places. The rich history of Europe's buildings so far has led me to create in a variety of mediums, from detailed drawings to graffiti installations, interior design, books and cartoons. Since 2015 I have collaborated with the National Trust and the Church of England. My knowledge of architectural history combined with contemporary artistic ideas has meant that my practice has naturally progressed into heritage curation.
I'm a graduate of the London College of Fashion and Camberwell College of Arts. Whilst studying I explored the art of couture and surface design in the studios of iconic British fashion designers Bruce Oldfield & Jenny Packham.
At Camberwell I turned to architecture; from a young age I had a HUGE fascination for buildings, their stories and inhabitants, so I began to depict those that surrounded me, experimenting with painting, model making and graffiti.
Soon after my curiosity for 3D construction saw me move to rural Gloucestershire, the birthplace of the Arts & Crafts movement, in order to learn to design & make bespoke chairs.
Thanks to supportive patrons, in 2012 I was able to focus full time on my architectural art and historical research.
My mission now is to captivate and excite people with a revealing visual tale of buildings, taking you all with me on a fun but informative journey.
I'm super proud to be ambassador for the UK children's charity Hop Skip & Jump.
