GreenHouse Cabinet, a magnificent china cabinet for your homegrown edible plants. The design is made by Studio van der Park & Latu. The cabinet is an ode to edible plants. In there different stages from seed to germinate, grow and harvesting plants. The design of the Greenhouse Cabinet is created from a combination of an old China Cabinet and the Fibonachi sequence from nature. This results that the relative proportions of the cabinet are balanced. The cabinet is made out of scrap steel from the industry, old greenhouse glass and used oak. We eat everyday but rarely really look at how beautiful, resourceful and thorough nature and the plants are. We want you to stop for a moment and take a look at them, in a way honour them for your food on the table. So instead of displaying your china, vases or art you can display and grow your edible plants, herbs. The cabinet is as simple and elequant yet is made in such a way that it is merely an object and with the plants it becomes a whole. The Fibonachi sequens plays an important role in this. Moon/en/Co the curators and developers of Eat Drink Design about the GreenhouseCabinet: To challenge the visitor to think about the workings of plants. Something Marije van der Park & Latu's, KasKast really did. "Many people wanted to know what kind of bamboo was growing in the greenhouse," says Geurts, "and were very surprised to find out it was a brussel sprouts plant." The GreenHouse Cabinet is an ode to edible plants, formed by a disused cabinet combined with reused steel and wood to make an in-house greenhouse. The GreenHouse Cabinet can be ordered for €7.021 at Studio Van der Park or you can place an order for a custommade piece for you're own home, office or restaurant.

Create projects & designs for a better world. To make the world more beautiful and livable again, that's where it started and what remains the motivation for the projects & designs by Marije van der Park. This is not only physically and visible but it is also about opportunities, people meeting each other and creating together. It is the goal that we feel more connected to nature and its natural cycles that we are part of. It is therefore important that we are engaged with and in nature, and this begins with our children. The realization where things come from, for example self-sow lettuce or radishes and eventually harvest and eat. The amazement and satisfaction of something so simple and yet so special as life itself.
