I am a contemporary artist living in The Netherlands. I am very much influenced by Dutch miniature art from the 17th century. The content of my work concentrates on contemporary phenomena and in part focuses on the 70s/80s, decades that I feel very connected to when it comes to music, fashion and societal developments. I love working with different media like clay, wood and paint. Sometimes a subject needs a more 2D approach and becomes a painting, sometimes I like to add 3D objects in clay and wood.. or even make my own frames which entail a story in itself.
