Paper-cutting (Gold standard Bazzill paper) 30.5 x 30.5 cm / 12.0 x 12.0 in Executed in 2019 Known as Kirie in Japanese (translated as “cut picture”), the traditional art form involves cutting intricate forms from a single sheet of paper and then contrasting it against a background to reveal the design. Paper cutting art requires tremendous patience, a steady hand and a surgical precision. This is a unique and original piece carefully hand-cut, out of a single sheet of paper. This artwork is not strictly silhouette-like. The artist preserved the image essence by playing with shadows and negative spaces creating blandness and natural emotionality.

Singapore
Singaporean artist of Siberian origin My paintings are multilayer patterns that create tactile and gentle fine structures reminiscent of broken paper sheets. I often use pieces of fabric or cords to increase the plasticity of her paintings. My motives are either fully abstract or partially figurative. I love to use clear acrylic colors and abstract calligraphy writing that is created by original scratching technique. My artistic style was influenced by famous modern artists such as Cy Twombly and Yayoi Kusama.
