Kemp’s technique enables her to add volume to her weaving creating three-dimensional works formed on the loom. The three-dimensional weaving technique applied to the natural fibres can create works that bristle, sway catch light and cast shadows. Marianne harnesses these qualities to create art that works in a space. The mood she creates through her choice of texture, color and rhythm can vary from tranquil ans calming to playful and loud.
