Salvation In Art Installation

All of my lightbox pieces are extremely personal. Obviously every piece for every artist reflects the maker, but these carry very specific meanings for me, and use symbolism to try and convey very particular emotional moments in my life. I am disabled, and the digital world has saved me. At art school I loved, but struggled with, traditional media; pencil, paint etc, finding digital software and photomanipulation has freed me. This work 'Salvation... ' says exactly what I feel about the ability to make my art and design. I'm not sure what I would be without this opportunity. Again, this piece marries my love for typography with strong imagery. I am not religious, and this is not about religion, it is about something much much bigger to me. The Latin text translates roughly as "Because of this, I am well". Across the centre of the image, in yellow line, is my drawing of my hands using the mouse to make my imagery. The piece will come ready assembled, complete with power cord (and appropriate power conversion if outside the UK), ready to be hung and plugged in.
