I took this photograph of my girlfriend painting her nails while on the toilet in my west 37 street, NYC, loft in the 1990's. My background is as a fashion erotic photographer. I wanted to create pieces no one's ever seen before. This is one of my first pieces I created that was multidimensional sculptural. My erotica black & white photograph printed on silver metal with holes drilled into it, then I sewed red cord to secure onto the leather jacket I bought in a thrift store in Paris in 2018. This is a wearable art, a size medium. But It would be much cooler displayed in a clear acrylic box. It was created for a 2 day art show this past March 2020 called Bohemian City Art Happening in NYC, before the global lockdown. I painted tribal details with spray paint. I wanted to incorporate my North & East African roots, family from Sicily. I almost don't want to sell this piece, it's so personal, I've become my art in a way. When I got to art openings & events I paint myself and wear my home crafted crowns. I did create a crown sculpture as well.

Award Winning Photographer Luciana Pampalone, Her love of photography began at a young age, drawing inspiration from photographers Helmut Newton and Deborah Turbeville. She depicts women as strong central figures in her work, allowing them to take on the roles of heroine or harlot, captivating onlookers and creating complex black and white compositions. " I want to create Art that no ones ever seen before" says Pampalone Working for the past 30 years in her commercial career in New York and internationally, Pampalone has been published in various fashion and lifestyle magazines and books. As a photographer and director, Pampalone has been featured in various exhibitions in New York, Bridgehampton and Art Basel Miami, including the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora and a solo exhibition at the Robin Rice Gallery in Manhattan, as well as receiving a “Best in Show” at The Whiteroom Gallery’s group exhibition in Bridgehampton. What many are only bold enough to envision in dreams and reveries, photographer Luciana Pampalone embraces, pulling us into a secret world, in her latest solo exhibition. Behind closed doors, dramatic chiaroscuro lighting envelopes hidden messages, forbidden desires and unanswered questions – all in a realm of undiscovered landscapes, decadence sensual beauty. As her lens teases, taunts and seduces her subjects into accompanying her on this erotic voyage, Pampalone is the agent provocateur – and, as only a true provocateur can do, she imperceptibly shifts the mantle of voyeur from herself to the viewer, drawing us into her world.
