ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The work was created in 2015 as a result of the death of Freddie Gray and the demonstrations in Baltimore City. I wish to make the views aware of what happens around the country with shootings, public outrage and the politics in the country. Place is an important part of my life and work. Social Justice has been at the top of my list concerning the direction in my work. The work is on handmade felt using digital photography, stitch, collage and text.
