Born London 1965, I have been lecturing at DeMontfort University since 2001 when I also Joined the KLA artists group. I was a director at KLA for my two final years and moved on in 2005 to establish my own studio.I am interested in the relationship between structure light and space. My practice is essentailly sculptural, with recent developments moving into video and installation. Recent MA work explored the relationship between coloured light and space, mostly by inserting Electro Luminescent Wire and LED lights into Expanded Polystyrene forms. Prior to this my work examined the potential for using UV lighting and fluorescent components to develop colour coded structures, sculptures that refer to 18th century anatomical models and Harry Beck's iconic 20th century London Tube Map, and exist in a 21st century urban environment of coloured LED's and electronic screens.
