Fabian Matz, born 1986 in Basel, Switzerland. Lives and works in Basel. Since 2016, he has been running his studio „atelier fabian matz - studio for elastic states“ and creates as a sculptor and installation artist abstract and sometimes bizarre works in various media and techniques with polyamide tights. In doing so, he makes use of his large collection of different brands, qualities and yarn thicknesses and explores their physical limits and aesthetics. His works have been shown in group and solo exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany and the USA. Likewise, his work has been presented in nationally and internationally virtually curated exhibitions and publications.
